Engineered Construction

Four Plies. Validated at Design.

OEM rubber dries out and cracks at 70k miles. Sierra reinforced hose is built to outlive the engine it's bolted to.

  • 4-ply silicone wrapped over woven polyester reinforcement — no delamination under boost spikes.
  • 5.5mm wall thickness with a smooth medical-grade inner liner for clean, unrestricted flow.
  • Rated −76°F to 482°F on the reinforced family; −40°F to 428°F on vacuum lines.
  • Pressure-tested to 150 PSI sustained hold. Failed batches are recycled, not shipped.

Factory rubber dries out, hardens and splits under years of heat cycling. Silicone doesn't. Sierra hose ends the failure mode instead of replacing it on the same schedule.

A modified engine doesn't live in a lab. It sees heat soak in traffic, ice on a winter start, and chassis flex on a track curb — often in the same week. Sierra hose is specified for the worst of all three, not the average of them.

  • Heat soak: silicone holds its shape where rubber goes soft and balloons.
  • Cold start: stays flexible below freezing — no cracking on first ignition.
